Few words…

Photovoltaics (PV) is a method of generating electrical power by converting solar radiation into direct current electricity using semiconductors that exhibit the photovoltaic effect. Photovoltaic power generation employs solar panels composed of a number of cells containing a photovoltaic material.

Several cells are connected to make a photovoltaic solar module, several modules are grouped together to form a solar installation. This installation produces some electricity which can be consumed on the production site or feed a distribution network.

SILLIA VL uses two kinds of cells:

- Monocrystalline : silicon made with a continuous crystal. Power from 11 to 16 %.
- Polycrystalline : silicon made with multiple small silicon crystals. Power from 10 to 14 %.
